"The Opera Files" Exhibition and Gala Dinner to Benefit Bangkok Opera, January 27th, Rembrandt Hotel"

Internationally acclaimed Fine-art photographer Boaz Zippor , in collaboration with the Bangkok Opera, will be presenting a unique cultural experience in 2010 season's first fund raising event.

The Rembrandt hotel will be hosting the opening of "the opera files" exhibition, showing an exclusive view behind the scenes of the region's most celebrated opera company.

Zippor's work, already well known around the globe for his expressionist visions of humanity, has taken a leap forward thanks to the amazingly colorful and vibrant opera productions, and as a permanent-guest behind the scenes of the Bangkok opera, he manages to capture an intimate insider look usually reserved for the opera cast alone.

Thanks to the joined creative powers working to promote the arts and culture in Thailand, the dinner gala will be an unforgettable event combining the photography exhibition, musical surprises from the creative arsenal of Somtow Sutcharitkul and Bruce Gaston, winners of the distinguished Silpathorn award, including opera arias performed by the local talents of the Bangkok opera group, the Shounen-Thai Quartet,m and Fong Naam, Thailand's innovative fusion classical group.

All sales from the exhibition will be directly used to help the production of new opera shows and concerts, part of the fresh endeavor of the Bangkok Opera Education Program, which brings opera and classical music to students and young music lovers in Thailand.

The exhibition opens on the 27th of January at the Rembrandt hotel (sukhumvit soi 18) at 18:30 and is open to the public.

The dinner gala opera experience is 1,500 baht and is limited to 200 seating places.
