Asava with Inspiration from Cyber Shot @ Bangkok International Fashon Week, November 2008, Siam Paragon

Designer: Polpat Asavaprapha. Collection: The Downtown Aristocrats. For winter 2008 collection, Asava maintains its minimal style with elegant details, fine fabric and silhouette. The combination of colours and fabrics emphasises the look of urban women. The inspiration is taken from the 60s and 70s silhouette. The look of stylish New York women on the Upper East Side combines with that of their more practical counterparts to create the “The Downtown Aristocrats” collection – representing the modern traditional women but fully embracing contemporary culture.

The collection uses different shades of grey, beige, black and white. Chocolate brown and olive green are added for effect while dark red, lemon yellow and blue add vibrancy to the collection.

Selections of natural fabric and fine silk such as duchess satin, organza, silk satin, Thai silk, cotton, and silk cotton are used. Evening dresses are created with fine Italian jersey silk to give a modern and delicate touch.

Asava’s first collection was launched at the Siam Paragon Bangkok International Fashion week 2008 in March 2008.
